My Spiritual Morning Routine: How to Make Your Mornings Magical

morning routine

We have all heard of morning routines. I mean how can you not? You may be thinking this is your same old morning routine outline you have seen on social media many times. Nope! I have created this post to share more than just your run of the mill morning routine but rather how to enhance your mornings by incorporate a spiritual aspect to your basic routine. Already have a morning routine, great this post will give you ideas on how to add a magical touch.

I am going to share with you my go-to morning routine that focuses on my spiritual and intuitive self.

I believe a missing aspect of many morning routines is a focus on starting your day with a good spiritual foundation. Every morning it is important to not only wake-up your physical body but also your spiritual self and intuitive self.

My morning routine has changed overtime as a move into different stages of my life but, I have always had a key spiritual element in each to take care of my energy.  So, grab your coffee and favorite crystal and lets talk about some easy step for you to add a spiritual element to your favorite morning routine.

Step 1: Respecting Your Body and giving yourself time.

For those early morning risers like myself, we can often feel rushed to get everything done and get out the door in time for work or class. By giving ourselves little time to actually wake up, we are disrespecting what our body and spirit needs, which is TIME.

That is why the first step to this morning routine is giving yourself more time and ultimately more freedom. By adding an hour or an hour and 30 minutes before you walk out the door you are able to take time to connect with your higher self. You can even take the time to tap in intuitively and find out what your energy needs that day.

Getting up early can take practice so, be kind to yourself and have patience.

Step 2: Hydrate! Hydrate! Hydrate! Setting intention for the day.

Drinking water first thing in the morning is key for your physical health and can help you wake up in the morning.

I personally believe by taking care of our physical body first thing in the morning, you are also taking care of the "car in which our soul drives." Drinking water sets a healthy foundation for the day.

After I have brushed my teeth, and washed my face, I grab my glass of cold water and take the time to set intention for the day. Whether that be having a successful meeting or presentation, or even to just fill my day with joy and possibility.

It is important to trust your intuitive self when setting intention

Step 3: Creating a connection!

What do I mean by connection? Well that can vary, for myself I take time out of my morning to make a connection with self, the divine (angels  and  archangels), and other spiritual beings I would like assistance from that day. This is a great time to receive angel guidance.

Others may connect to their Angels, Spirit Guides, Ancestors, Fairies, Goddesses anything you are guided towards. Each day me different, this step allows you to explore your connection with many spiritual outlets.

During this connection I often check in with myself energetically. How am I feeling this morning and what can I do today to support myself spiritually?

The time a take to connect also opens up time for growing my spiritual practice and intuitive abilities. Focusing on using my four senses while connecting allows me to gain more experience with my abilities.

Step 4: Meditation, Reading, and Movement

I believe starting your day with something calming can really allow your self to become attuned with your body and soul.

This may look different for each of you as we all have likes and dislikes. I personally incorporate a few aspects into my morning depending on the day.

Some days I may do yoga, walks, mediation, gratitude journaling, workout (cardio/weightlifting) or even something as simple as breathe work.

Meditation (Follow the link for some awesome meditations) can also open up your morning practice to allow healing. I often meditate with my spiritual team and allow angel healing.

I challenge you to take your time with this step and really find what works for you. You can try many different things till you find what connects with you.

Rather than trying to be what you think you should be, use this step to explore your spirituality and find new spiritual connections.

Step 5: Fuel Your Body!

Fueling your body with nutrition is key, but it is also important to fill yourself with knowledge and love. While eating your favorite breakfast or drinking your morning coffee, take the time to listen to your favorite spiritual podcast or audio book.

I am constantly wanting to learn and better myself, I feel that is a real theme happening in the world right now. Know it is important to take time for self and sometimes we can all struggle to remember to do our self-care practice. That is why I recommend taking time for your spiritual self first thing in the day.

Most of you drink coffee/tea, eat breakfast or both anyways so, take that time to also fuel your soul!

Remember we are all human, there are days where we oversleep, do not feel like mediating or taking the time to move. This blog is not about being perfect but rather trusting in your intuitive. You know what is best for you, these are just a few ideas to help you find the right fit.

The great part about each step is they can be easily added into any morning routine. Have fun finding out what works for you. Mornings are essential to setting the tone for a good day and by taking care of our energy we open up the day to amazing possibilities.
